Finally took some time and got the link from the thumbnails (on the right) to the Gallery working. We'll add some new photos of Mia soon!

Husband Haiku

battery drained
i must go now, bye
i go to dishes

Describing the vain struggle between a dying laptop battery and the unavoidable housework to be performed, a husband, all alone, is tormented by the fact that failing technology pushes him into dish-slavery.

Half year wrap up.

So I have not put any time into the site at all because this is my time to plant and harvest. Gardening and the outdoors is one of my favorite things to do. As the Toro commercial says, "Love the Yard".

I changed the theme back because my Mom likes this one better and I have to say I agree. The stark gray and white did not look appealing, perhaps a bit too stark.

I started a new job at OSHEAN, http://www.oshean.org, as Systems Administrator. Great place to work and I feel like I am part of Rhode Island.

The Manville Fire Department has almost completed renovations to the Station 1. I encourage all residents of Manville to stop on by the station for our Annual Meeting and stay for a tour of the station hosted by our very own Chief, Peter Adam. The Annual Meeting is Tuesday, September 9th at 7:00 PM.

Mia has two teeth.

I know a guy who has 9ft tall tomato plants. How does he get them so tall? Pig manure.

I'm going to end this blog post as I appear to be starting a whole "stream of consciousness" style of writing. Maybe I will carve out some time to put the pictures up...but maybe I'll just spend time in the yard instead. Enjoy the Summer!

Amelia Rose is Born!!

At 11:48AM today, January 22nd, Amelia Rose was born!

She weighed 8lbs, 12oz and came out with a full head of dark hair.

Like her name sake she is a quiet and gentle baby. Even when taking her Vitamin K shot she did not utter a cry.

Momma, Dad and Amelia will be in the hospital all this week. Feel free to call the cell if you'd like to visit.

Check out the Gallery for pictures!

Who Has Access to Your Phone Calls?

Should the government have instant access to every single phone call you and millions of other Americans have made in the last few years? That means access to the phone records of political opponents, news reporters, and potential whistle blowers. Calls to friends, family, associates, lovers. Calls to doctors, legal counsel, financial advisors.

It is not up to AT&T, Verizon or any other phone company to decide what the government gets to see, monitoring and intercepting the domestic and international calls of millions of Americans without legally issued orders violates our system of checks and balances.

You can help put a stop to this illegal spying right now.

I just did. It's easy! Add your name to the ACLU’s demand that the Federal Communications Commission and the state public utility commissions launch an immediate investigation. Just go here:

https://secure.aclu.org/site/SPageServer?pagename=DTT_FCC_spies_off_line

Your name will be submitted with the ACLU’s formal demands and will become part of the public record.

Act now, regulators need to hear that the public demands action.
