Where To Shop

To make really good food you must obtain fine ingredients. Akin to mining for precious stones, discovering fine ingredients takes investment in time, research and sometimes a little money (but also luck). We shop local and visit farmer's markets.

We NEVER buy Stop and Shop meats, they gas them to enhance their color. Many other major supermarkets gas their meats as well.

Coffee Exchange

The Coffee Exchange sells Fair Trade and Organic coffees, freshly roasted on the premises. They have the best coffee in the state of Rhode Island, hands down. Anyone who drinks the swill served up by Dunkin' Donuts and likes it, is sick in the head.

The Coffee Exchange sells their coffee online at http://mailordercoffee.com.

I usually go for their Coffee of the Day which is $1/lb and I rack up points on my Customer Card to get free drinks. Also, when you buy a pound of coffee in the store you get a free coffee.

The Coffee Exchange is located on Wickden St. in Providence. Visit today!

Michael's Meats

Michael's Meats is the archetypal butcher. They carry a variety of grocery and have great service.

Rabbit's Dance Farm

We came across Rabbit's Dance Farm through a friend and it also happens to be very close to where we live. http://www.rabbitsdancefarm.com, Rabbit's Dance Farm offers sustainable-grown, chemical-free produce through their Community Supported Agriculture program.
